Corfu

We had a lovely 10 nights at Dreams, Gouvia, Corfu.

We bought our souvenirs here... the owner made his own wine (not for sale) and we got a glass.  Everyone in this little town is friendly and the pace is slow.

The hotel had a bouncy castle on the sea.

The small beach is reached via a walk through the beautiful landscaped gardens of the hotel, video

We preferred sunbathing around the lagoon pool.  As the Season was only just beginning, it was low occupancy and we had the pool to ourselves often.

The all inclusive food was outstanding, plenty for vegetarians. Lots of Greek food, salads, bean casseroles, vegetable bakes, a good selection of meat and fish dishes and desserts that were both  beautiful to look at and eat!

There were plenty of small bars just outside the hotel

and our own balcony was a lovely sunspot with an afternoon cocktail after a day of sunbathing.

There was a relaxing walk of about 30 minutes to the Marina from the hotel.

We went to Corfu town on the public bus. Its a 20 minute journey.  We found the locals food market.

Lots of little cafes and restaurants found by walking away from a small shopping centre.

Back at the hotel, it's quite nice to walk around Gouvia and explore the side streets, the houses and gardens are pretty.  This is a short video of what I saw....
